How Do I Get Started?

If you think you're ready to make an investment in yourself, fill out this form to  schedule a free Curiosity Call session. Alternatively, you can call me at 360.602.0204. After we confirm a mutually convenient appointment time, please fill out the Curiosity Call questionnaire and email it back to me at least 24 hours in advance to help me prepare for our meeting. We'll invest 15 to 30 minutes exploring whether coaching is right for you and if we'd make a good team. If the answer to both inquiries is Yes, then I'll suggest some next steps. . . like making the commitment to initiate coaching with a Discovery Session.

How Does One-on-One Coaching Work?

If, after our Discovery Session, we decide to work together, we'll commit to a coaching relationship by signing a coaching agreement. We'll  build our partnership via phone sessions in which you examine areas of your life you'd like to change. Our preliminary session -- done in person if distance permits; otherwise by phone or Skype -- will last approximately two hours. During that time, we’ll explore issues raised in your responses to the initial inventory and get to know each other so we can build trust in each other and the process. (The initial inventory is accessible online at a clients-only site.)

After our preliminary session, we’ll likely coach once a week in 30 minute sessions for three to six months, depending on the custom coaching package we design. Remember. . .  real change takes time and effort. Even though the coaching relationship is a place where magic happens, clients create that magic through time and effort, both during sessions and in-between when they --and you-- have an "aha moment." That's why I call coaching "an investment in yourself." You alone have the power to steer your life in the direction of your dreams.

During our coaching relationship, we’ll occasionally pause and take stock, so you can assess and celebrate your progress, as well as delve into new areas as your life begins to change. In each coaching session, you'll choose the focus and determine how you'll know if we're making progress toward your goals. Sometimes you may be seeking clarity. You might have a clear-cut goal and need to develop an action plan. Or you might feel stuck and want someone to extend a hand and help you break the impasse. You set the agenda -- after all, who knows what you need better than you?

I’ll be your sounding board, help you shift your thinking, identify limiting beliefs that may be holding you back, and keep you centered on present and future instead of belaboring the past. (This focus differentiates coaching from therapy, as does my belief that you’re whole, capable, resourceful and creative — even if you’re stuck temporarily.) We’ll concentrate on what you want, not what you don’t. If you decide it serves you, I’ll act as your accountability partner, holding you responsible for making measurable progress toward your chosen goals.

Other Stepping-Stones to Change
If you aren't quite ready for the significant investment of resources that one-on-one coaching requires, but want to challenge yourself to be the best you possible, check the "choices" page.

From time to time, I offer group classes/coaching via teleconference or special chat rooms. I'm also creating online classes for you to explore on your own schedule. Both options are more affordable than one-on-one coaching, yet still provide a way to make a significant investment in yourself.

And just in case you're hoping to rescue your creativity or spend some time creating a plan to turn your life vision into reality, I'm designing specialty retreats that can be offered once or twice a year in wonderful places. It's one way I can turn my own dreams into reality. Stay tuned!
